It combines the high absorption capacity and low manure volume from flax with the large scattering volume and attractive appearance of wood shavings. Aubiose is a 100% natural organically cultivated hemp material. Which is a completely different type of bedding from any other, and should provide you with savings in time and labour if it is managed properly. The bedding works by soaking up liquids in a small area, at the base of the bed. The capped layer that forms over this saturated material reduces the chance of wet bedding being mixed in with the dry. The top layer of the bed remains warm, soft and dry for the horse.

Hemcore Horse Bedding is made from the soft inner core of the hemp plant stem which is grown and processed entirely in the UK. It is dried, chopped, dust extracted and packed into heat-sealed, recyclable polythene bags. What sets Hemcore apart from other bedding materials is its very high absorbency, which results in a bed that stays drier longer. It is capable of absorbing far more moisture than either straw or wood shavings, and any wet areas that do have to be dug out are small by comparison. It makes a warm and comfortable bed, which provides good insulation against cold and protection against injury.

Manufactured from carefully selected recycled whitewood fibre, easibed is also one of the ‘greenest’ bedding products and makes a warm, comfortable, supportive, free draining bed that stays dry on top. Horses on easibed also stay cleaner as it doesn’t cling to manes, tails or rugs. Easibed is economical to use, as it’s very quick and easy to muck out. It also generates a minimal amount of bedding for the muckheap, making it cheaper and easier to dispose. What’s more, not only does easibed look great in the stable, but because it doesn’t blow about, the yard stays tidier too.

The straw and hay is produced on the family farm every summer, and comes in conventional sized bales. The hay is from a rye mix grass and the straw is from wheat. We guarantee all the quality of our bales and are happy to swoop or refund any bale if not satisfied.
